This year I took on the daunting task of creating two new break-away Nutcrackers for Lafayette Center for Dance and their annual production of 'The Nutcracker', replacing the over-worked (and under paid) soldier who has been in the show for MANY years and was ready for retirement:
I heavily modified an off-the-shelf Nutcracker I purchased at Wal-Mart with new pieces and parts to match his life-sized counterpart's existing costume and added some strategic dowels and Velcro so he didn't fall apart (until he was supposed to...)
We've loved being part of this show for the last four years, and I'm proud to have finally left my artistic mark on it!
